Everyone needs quality time for themselves. Women, especially, need that time to pamper themselves a little after that busy day. It doesn't matter if it is late evening, nighttime, or early morning. Take the time and the steps to pamper yourself. Remember that you as a whole are what you are stuck with for life. So treat yourself well and like yourself. Here are some things that can make you feel pampered.

How to Have a Mini Spa in Your Bathroom
Want to have a relaxing morning, afternoon, or evening? If so, please follow this guide on how to have a mini-spa in your own bathroom with the things you already have!
Steps
- No mini-spa is a real mini-spa without a bubble bath! If you don't have bubble bath, just put some body wash under the running water. Soak for as long as you like while listening to your favorite CD! Also, try exfoliating your body with a loofah sponge or body scrub to get really soft skin. Apply a facial while in bubble bath and rinse upon getting out.
- Dry off and apply a moisturizing cream to entire body and face.
- While still in your towel, do some grooming. Pluck your eyebrows - the warm bath will have opened your pores making it easier and less painful to pluck your eyebrows. Brush, floss, and use mouthwash for your teeth. File your nails and remove dirt from underneath them with a toothpick.
- Tie your hair back into a rough ponytail and tie a headband around it or clip bangs back if you have bangs.
- Do a steam facial; boil water and pour into a large bowl or your bathroom sink. Drape a towel over your head and the steaming water. Stay there for about 5-10 minutes. Listen to music while doing this so it's not as boring.
- Rinse immediately with a facial cleanser or just warm water and soap. Rinse with cold water to close your pores.
Tips
- Do this when you have at least 2-3 hours of time.
- Try sharing this with your lover for an intimate time together.
Warnings
- Don't use shampoo to make bubbles, it's really not good for your skin.
Things You'll Need
- Bubble bath/body wash.
- Loofah/body scrub.
- Towel.
- Moisturizing lotion.
- Hot water for steaming.
- Cleanser, toner.
- some white towels
How to Plan a Spa Adventure
Steps
- Relax at a spa. A spa experience is a great way to relieve stress. Stress is linked with worsening diseases like cancer and most other sicknesses. It has been proven that the benefits of a spa experience are very effective in reducing stress. Not only that, where else can one feel pampered and beautiful at affordable prices? Most of all, spas provide a fun way to just hang out with your friends and acquaintances.
- Use a spa experience to kick off good habits. A spa gives you an all-encompassing experience. Depending on ones choice, it can be a great way to jumpstart a diet or make a major lifestyle change in a supportive environment. The relaxing atmosphere of a spa experience has a very powerful healing effect on your body. It used to be that spas were about relaxation, beauty and pampering. Now the new demand is for healing modalities-body therapies that focus on moving energy in the body.
- Try the basics first. Basic treatments at a spa may involve several things:
- The most popular service and the best place to start is therapeutic massage. Massage has a number of health benefits.
- The second most popular service is the European facial. This involves skin analysis, deep cleansing, massage, and extraction. Body treatments are essentially facials for the whole body. The most popular body treatment is a salt glow or body scrub.
- Water relaxation. Experiment with the variety of water facilities. Hydrotherapy tubs, steambaths and saunas may be included in the array of utilities offered. Saunas are deeply relaxing and a great way to melt away stress. They are valuable in stimulating circulation, improving the elimination of waste products through the skin.
- Splurge on the nails and toes too. Many spas offer manicures and pedicures, and spa/salons offer hair cutting and styling services.
- Tone up after pampering. Some spas offer a wide selection of exercise and outdoor activities to choose from. Even an exercise as simple as walking will make and keep our bodies fit. Our bodies can only function if the body structure is sound and our blood is pure. Spas continue to be considered a sanctuary from stress.
Tips- Always check to see what's included. Meals? Treatments? Tax? Service fees? And some resort spas even charge extra for yoga or aerobic classes.
- Tips of 15-20% are typical at day spas. The therapist gets just 40% to 50% of the fee for the service at most, so they rely on tips.
- Destination and resort spas often charge a service fee of 15-20%, but they keep most of that-sometimes all of it-themselves. So if you really appreciated your service, tips are appreciated if not expected.
- Best Spa-Bargains is that you can save by traveling off-season. In the Northeast, rates are lower in the winter, higher in the summer. It's the reverse in the Southwest and Florida.
- Plan your stay during the week rather than on weekends. A Thursday night arrival will cost more than a Sunday night arrival.
- Look for special bring-a-friend programs. You can also make the most of your time by arriving early in the morning on your first day and leaving late your last day.
Here are some home spa tips that will make you look and feel like a million bucks. Squeeze a few more minutes into your daily routine for them, and become happier and fantastically refreshed!
Steps
- Slow down. Take in the experience of an everyday activity that you usually fly through, such as a bath or shower, listening to a favorite song, or even getting dressed in a favorite outfit. Remember why each thing is special to you.
- Use an essential oil compress to refresh and energize.
- Shower with a gentle, scented gel and a body scrubber. There are many kinds of scrubbers - choose one that exfolites and stimulates your circulation without making you feel like you've just been rubbed by a cheese grater.
- Soak in a bath. Add 5 to 10 drops of an essential oil to bath salts.
- Be nice to yourself. These are your precious rejuvenating moments. Take your time.
- Be gentle when washing your body or face. Scrubbing too hard or too vigorously can advance signs of aging in the skin.
- Pamper your hair, which takes a beating both indoors and outdoors , all day long. Use a hot oil or deep conditioning treatment and spend the wait time reading a book in the tub!
- Replenish lost moisture to your skin and hair by taking two tablespoons of organic flaxseed oil twice a day. You'll get rid of dry skin and combat wrinkles..
- Treat your fabulous face like royalty. The skin on your face is thinner and more fragile than the rest of your body. Avoid extremely hot water, harsh soaps or any drying cleansers. Wash with gentle cleansers that don't dry out your skin, and always rub gently as you wash. Moisturize.
- Tone and plump the skin on your face by putting an ice cube into a plastic bag, and rubbing it gently all over your face for a couple of minutes.
- Rejuvenate from the inside as well.
- Drink enough water so that you do not feel thirsty, particularly when you are hot or are exercising. (Any 'registered' dietitian will tell you that it is an urban myth that you *must* consume 8 to 10 glasses of water a day if you do not need it.)
- Eat lots of whole foods, green vegetables, fresh fruits, grains, nuts and lean protein to reduce inflammation, replenish moisture and bring back a youthful glow.
- Take 3 full, deep breaths from your abdomen (keep your shoulders still) to complete your simple happy essential home spa experience.
- Make yourself a foot bath with a plastic bucket or any plastic bin that fits your feet comfortably with the water just above your ankles. Add two tablespoons of epson salts to the water. The water should be hot but, not too hot. Use from the tap and check as you fill with the back of your hand.
- Sit in a comfortable chair with a magazine you have been meaning to read.
- Find some New Age music "Ray Lynch is a good" I like the Album "Deep Breakfast" Relax and enjoy the moment. Headphones can shut out any outside noises and help create "your own space".
- Pleasant scents from incense or candles can add to the relaxing effect.
- The most important part is to slow down and enjoy the time. Evenings before bed are best as the relaxation carries over to your sleep time.
Tips
- The benefits and joy you experience during your at home spa day will be more colored by your desire and your intentions than any fancy, expensive products you can buy. Be mindful, set your intentions and gradually transition in to or out of your work day.
How to Take Time to Pamper Youself
Everyone needs quality time for themselves. Women, especially, need that time to pamper themselves a little after that busy day. As that old saying goes, men may work from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done. That saying certainly stands true; a little time set aside for yourself isn't too much to ask. So treat yourself well and like yourself. Here are some things that can make you feel pampered.
Steps
- Take a foot soak. Use a small pan or tub and fill it with warm water and add baby oil with vitamin E to soak your feet in.
- Scrub your feet. Have on hand your favorite foot scrub and scrub your feet after your warm foot soaking. Sea salt works great, too.
- Delight in bubbles. Consider taking a full bubble bath, and add a face mask.
- Caress your feet with softness. Have some Footsies or socks ready to put on after applying some cream or Vaseline. Cut the toes out of old socks to sleep in to allow the cream to soak in overnight.
- Soothe the hands. Take care of your hands the same as you would your face by applying hand lotion or even your face cream, especially at night.
- Spritz the face. Keep a small spray bottle filled with spring water to mist your face during the day and at night.
- Deep cleanse the face. Using a clay facial mask (such as the avocado, kaolin and rosemary) on your hands works great and leaves hands soft.
- Give all the skin a treat. Don't forget to add lotion to the rest of your body and pay attention to the neck area.
- Add moisture to your hair. Keep a spray bottle filled with tap water to mist your hair. This works great on fine hair that is layered.
- Use scent to lift your mood. Using vanilla or lilac body sprays will add that special touch after a nice shower or bath.
- Treat the legs. Don't forget to put cream on your legs - cocoa butter works great.
- Jazz up the teeth. Get in the habit of taking care of your teeth, and don't forget to floss.
- Eat well. Prepare yourself a generous meal, relax and really taste the food.
- Chill down for the night. Rent yourself a good movie, kick your feet up, and relax. Spend a little time at night to yourself.
Tips
- No matter if you decide to pamper yourself daily or weekly, take the time. Everyone deserves to be pampered sometimes.
- There is nothing vain or wrong about thinking of yourself. Sometimes we tend to put ourselves last - and doing so all the time is not a healthy way of living.
- We were pampered as babies, but now that we are grown we have to do it ourselves.
- If you run out of your favorite facial scrub, a tiny bit of baking soda mixed with a little water works great.
- For exfoliating your skin, there are many great inexpensive soaps out there that have oatmeal and other ingredients in them.
- Drink lots of water.
- Exercise in moderation and eat the same way.
- Use a white nail pencil underneath your nail tips if you're wearing clear nail polish.
- Save up money so you can go shopping and treat yourself to a few gifts.
