Party and Show Themes!
Here is a little paragraph about parties! This is kind of like the next paragraph, "how to host the best sleepover." Anyway, you first need to pick a theme. Some themes are: book characters, hippies, rock stars, animals, princesses, pirates, movies, T.V. shows, magic, wizards, mermaids, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, modern, future, history, stone age, western, popstar, hawaiian, chocolate, band, neon themed, or a tea party. Some of the ones I said are from wikipedia as you can see below this. At your party, you can also do a fun show! Some show ideas are: talent shpw, a play, pop concert, news show, variety show, comedy show, skits, dance show, magic show, fashion show, classical concert, scary story telling, story telling, rock concert, or a quiz/game show. Okay, that's all! I basically just did themed shows and party themes. So here are some themes for a party or show!
How to Host the Best Sleepover!
If you want to host the perfect sleepover, then read this! I didn't make these steps up myself, I got it off of WikiHow. WikiHow is a cool website that teaches you how to do stuff! Anyway read this:
Tips
- Think up a theme for your party or sleepover. People can come in all kinds of wacky costumes, and you can take advantage of the opportunity to show off your new western-style dress or 60's skirt. Here are some examples of themes you could have: 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's,70's, 80's, Western, Hawaiian, Popstar, a chocolate party,a neon themed or a tea party. You can also just pick an accessory you like and get everyone to wear one.
- Send out the invites, if you have a theme maybe you could imply that on the invitations by sticking pictures or decorations over it. Think about inviting an even number of people (don't forget to count yourself!). It is best not to send out invites by e-mail or SMS (especially if you're a bit older) because these invites can be forwarded on and you might end up with gate crashers.
- Prepare everything beforehand. You don't want to be rushing around on the night to get things when they could already be ready and waiting for you.
- Clean up. Make sure your house is in a reasonable state, and that everything is where it is supposed to be. This will make the night go much smoother. And also so you won't have to do much more cleaning after the party.
Tips
- Don't get movies over your age rating unless your friends' parents are all okay with it. You could get in trouble otherwise. Also, try to keep the movies light - a tearjerker could really bring down the mood. Comedies are fantastic for sleepovers.
- Make sure to have plenty of music! Keep the volume down because you don't want the neighbors complaining. That will ruin the whole night.
- Remember to have plenty of snacks on hand - junk food is great!always have ice cream and goodies Leave some food out overnight in case anyone gets hungry. Snacks are the key to happy friends- buy lots of finger friendly foods- cookies, vegetables, chips, dip, pizza, popcorn, cheese, candy, fries, etc. Have a large variety of food as well (as long as it sticks with the theme). At most slumber parties, the food is pizza. Have something more interesting, or get more exotic toppings. Another fun food is cheese sticks. Make sure you have healthy options and check if any of your friends have allergies. Have fun with it!
- Make sure you make a good impression and clean up your house before having people over! Especially the bathroom, your bed room, kitchen, and living room or family room!
- Get your guests to bring magazines, CDs, and a good list of dares. If everyone brings something, there will be more to choose from!
- Rent a film- something everyone will like and if you cant decide have a vote with the top options.
- Make sure everyone has something to do, otherwise someone might get bored and want to go home.
- Make sure you're not the first one asleep.
- If your planning on pulling any pranks during the night, a good idea would be to ask if it is OK with everyone if some mischief happens, if someone says no, then just don't do anything to them! It may ruin the surprise, but they don't know who it's going to happen to, and maybe they'll just be a little less likely to go to bed early!
- Play truth or dare or other fun group games. But make sure no one gets their feelings really hurt- and don't ask something way to personal and make sure it doesn't get out of hand or your friends won't want to come over again.
- Don't worry too much about what people think of the party, just enjoy yourself. If your guests aren't liking it, they'll give you hints. They won't tell you if they don't like it so you'll have to watch out for any small hints or see if they're not joining in with anything.
- Have an interesting combination for breakfast and let your guests choose what they want to eat because everyone likes different things.
- Include what to bring on the invitation. Toothbrush, toothpaste, pajamas, a change of clothes, and a sleeping bag are the basic essentials.
- Be sure to include an end time on the invitation - not only a start time! - so your guests will know when to leave. If any guests don't leave at the time you listed, give hints that the party is over. Don't ignore them, but just hint, "Does anyone need a ride home?"
- You might want to pick out a cute outfit (pj's) for the party, something that makes you feel confident about your sleepover, but make sure it's comfy too so you can still have fun.
- Decide where everyone will sleep. Air beds, which are like blow up mattresses, are really comfy. Ask your friends to bring a sleeping bag and pillows and blankets to sleep on air beds or mattresses on the floor!
- Make sure everyone knows where the bathroom nearest to the place where you're sleeping is. Plus, leave some books or games around in case someone can't sleep. Don't forget to pass out some flashlights so no one will get scared.
- Have a pillow fight! But don't get too aggressive or break anything.
- Ask guests if they have any food allergies before the party, to make sure they can eat what you serve.
- If you are doing anything with a spa theme, gather up things such as facial scrub recipes, nail polish, etc. If you aren't, or are inviting tomboys, bring a soccer ball, or something similar. If you're inviting both, work out a trade. For example, everyone gets up and plays soccer for thirty minutes, everyone sits down and has a spa for thirty minutes, or play something like "Simon Needs A _____ " (Fill in the blank.)
- Take pictures! You'll want to remember this night. After the party, email the photos out to your guests. You could even make cute scrapbook pages or frames during the sleepover as a fun activity or even better put the picture in the thank you card.
- Make sure that you plan everything on what you are going to do in your slumber party, and make sure you plan it out with your friend(s) because if you don't then all the things on the list, you might not even be able to do anything!
- If someone is like a vegetarian, make sure that you have plenty of fruits, veggies, and great tasting foods that will fill them up so that they aren't hungry, just make sure that there is food for everyone to enjoy!
- Don't stay inside of your house the entire time! Go outside and play games out there too!
- Always keep in check that everyone is having a great time! Make sure that you aren't just giving attention to just one person! Hang out with everyone so that everyone is accepted in!
- You can do some fun crafts! A fun craft in to make a toy animal out of string and then the fuzzy wuzzys can have a sleepover!
- If you like to go to bed early then a few days before practice staying up late!but the night before the sleepover got to bed early so you arent tierd on the night!
- Don't be a party pooper! Try not to yawn; it will make it look like you're bored. Then your guests will go and say things like oh, this is boring and actually there loving the activity there doing now! Then you will ruin it for everyone else.
- If you're having a business sleepover, make sure you list out the rules in plain English, black and white.
- You could have a color party. E.g., Pink. Have pink food and get everyone to wear that color.
- Make sure everyone is comfortable with who their sleeping over with. It's better not to bring all of your best friends from different places together- then they seem to divide up into groups and not have any fun. But if you're set on having ALL of your friends over, make sure they are all introduced and maybe play a game for all of you to get to know each other better.Aso you could have a limo party and all go out in a limo so if you see anyone you know they will be jealous.
- If you have a pet, bring it to the party! Everyone should love your cat or dog, especially if your pet is playful/loveable! If its a fish or an animal similar to that, let people take turns feeding it!

How to Have a Mini Spa in Your Bathroom
Want to have a relaxing morning, afternoon, or evening? If so, please follow this guide on how to have a mini-spa in your own bathroom with the things you already have!
Steps
- No mini-spa is a real mini-spa without a bubble bath! If you don't have bubble bath, just put some body wash under the running water. Soak for as long as you like while listening to your favorite CD! Also, try exfoliating your body with a loofah sponge or body scrub to get really soft skin. Apply a facial while in bubble bath and rinse upon getting out.
- Dry off and apply a moisturizing cream to entire body and face.
- While still in your towel, do some grooming. Pluck your eyebrows - the warm bath will have opened your pores making it easier and less painful to pluck your eyebrows. Brush, floss, and use mouthwash for your teeth. File your nails and remove dirt from underneath them with a toothpick.
- Tie your hair back into a rough ponytail and tie a headband around it or clip bangs back if you have bangs.
- Do a steam facial; boil water and pour into a large bowl or your bathroom sink. Drape a towel over your head and the steaming water. Stay there for about 5-10 minutes. Listen to music while doing this so it's not as boring.
- Rinse immediately with a facial cleanser or just warm water and soap. Rinse with cold water to close your pores.
Tips
- Do this when you have at least 2-3 hours of time.
- Try sharing this with your lover for an intimate time together.
Warnings
- Don't use shampoo to make bubbles, it's really not good for your skin.
Things You'll Need
- Bubble bath/body wash.
- Loofah/body scrub.
- Towel.
- Moisturizing lotion.
- Hot water for steaming.
- Cleanser, toner.
- some white towels
How to Plan a Spa Adventure
Steps
Steps
- Relax at a spa. A spa experience is a great way to relieve stress. Stress is linked with worsening diseases like cancer and most other sicknesses. It has been proven that the benefits of a spa experience are very effective in reducing stress. Not only that, where else can one feel pampered and beautiful at affordable prices? Most of all, spas provide a fun way to just hang out with your friends and acquaintances.
- Use a spa experience to kick off good habits. A spa gives you an all-encompassing experience. Depending on ones choice, it can be a great way to jumpstart a diet or make a major lifestyle change in a supportive environment. The relaxing atmosphere of a spa experience has a very powerful healing effect on your body. It used to be that spas were about relaxation, beauty and pampering. Now the new demand is for healing modalities-body therapies that focus on moving energy in the body.
- Try the basics first. Basic treatments at a spa may involve several things:
- The most popular service and the best place to start is therapeutic massage. Massage has a number of health benefits.
- The second most popular service is the European facial. This involves skin analysis, deep cleansing, massage, and extraction. Body treatments are essentially facials for the whole body. The most popular body treatment is a salt glow or body scrub.
- Water relaxation. Experiment with the variety of water facilities. Hydrotherapy tubs, steambaths and saunas may be included in the array of utilities offered. Saunas are deeply relaxing and a great way to melt away stress. They are valuable in stimulating circulation, improving the elimination of waste products through the skin.
- Splurge on the nails and toes too. Many spas offer manicures and pedicures, and spa/salons offer hair cutting and styling services.
- Tone up after pampering. Some spas offer a wide selection of exercise and outdoor activities to choose from. Even an exercise as simple as walking will make and keep our bodies fit. Our bodies can only function if the body structure is sound and our blood is pure. Spas continue to be considered a sanctuary from stress.
Tips- Always check to see what's included. Meals? Treatments? Tax? Service fees? And some resort spas even charge extra for yoga or aerobic classes.
- Tips of 15-20% are typical at day spas. The therapist gets just 40% to 50% of the fee for the service at most, so they rely on tips.
- Destination and resort spas often charge a service fee of 15-20%, but they keep most of that-sometimes all of it-themselves. So if you really appreciated your service, tips are appreciated if not expected.
- Best Spa-Bargains is that you can save by traveling off-season. In the Northeast, rates are lower in the winter, higher in the summer. It's the reverse in the Southwest and Florida.
- Plan your stay during the week rather than on weekends. A Thursday night arrival will cost more than a Sunday night arrival.
- Look for special bring-a-friend programs. You can also make the most of your time by arriving early in the morning on your first day and leaving late your last day.
How to Create a Home Spa Experience Without Spending a Dime
Here are some home spa tips that will make you look and feel like a million bucks. Squeeze a few more minutes into your daily routine for them, and become happier and fantastically refreshed!

Tips
Here are some home spa tips that will make you look and feel like a million bucks. Squeeze a few more minutes into your daily routine for them, and become happier and fantastically refreshed!
Steps
- Slow down. Take in the experience of an everyday activity that you usually fly through, such as a bath or shower, listening to a favorite song, or even getting dressed in a favorite outfit. Remember why each thing is special to you.
- Use an essential oil compress to refresh and energize.
- Shower with a gentle, scented gel and a body scrubber. There are many kinds of scrubbers - choose one that exfolites and stimulates your circulation without making you feel like you've just been rubbed by a cheese grater.
- Soak in a bath. Add 5 to 10 drops of an essential oil to bath salts.
- Be nice to yourself. These are your precious rejuvenating moments. Take your time.
- Be gentle when washing your body or face. Scrubbing too hard or too vigorously can advance signs of aging in the skin.
- Pamper your hair, which takes a beating both indoors and outdoors , all day long. Use a hot oil or deep conditioning treatment and spend the wait time reading a book in the tub!
- Replenish lost moisture to your skin and hair by taking two tablespoons of organic flaxseed oil twice a day. You'll get rid of dry skin and combat wrinkles..
- Treat your fabulous face like royalty. The skin on your face is thinner and more fragile than the rest of your body. Avoid extremely hot water, harsh soaps or any drying cleansers. Wash with gentle cleansers that don't dry out your skin, and always rub gently as you wash. Moisturize.
- Tone and plump the skin on your face by putting an ice cube into a plastic bag, and rubbing it gently all over your face for a couple of minutes.
- Rejuvenate from the inside as well.
- Drink enough water so that you do not feel thirsty, particularly when you are hot or are exercising. (Any 'registered' dietitian will tell you that it is an urban myth that you *must* consume 8 to 10 glasses of water a day if you do not need it.)
- Eat lots of whole foods, green vegetables, fresh fruits, grains, nuts and lean protein to reduce inflammation, replenish moisture and bring back a youthful glow.
- Take 3 full, deep breaths from your abdomen (keep your shoulders still) to complete your simple happy essential home spa experience.
- Make yourself a foot bath with a plastic bucket or any plastic bin that fits your feet comfortably with the water just above your ankles. Add two tablespoons of epson salts to the water. The water should be hot but, not too hot. Use from the tap and check as you fill with the back of your hand.
- Sit in a comfortable chair with a magazine you have been meaning to read.
- Find some New Age music "Ray Lynch is a good" I like the Album "Deep Breakfast" Relax and enjoy the moment. Headphones can shut out any outside noises and help create "your own space".
- Pleasant scents from incense or candles can add to the relaxing effect.
- The most important part is to slow down and enjoy the time. Evenings before bed are best as the relaxation carries over to your sleep time.
Tips
- The benefits and joy you experience during your at home spa day will be more colored by your desire and your intentions than any fancy, expensive products you can buy. Be mindful, set your intentions and gradually transition in to or out of your work day.
How to Take the Time to Pamper Yourself
Everyone needs quality time for themselves. Women, especially, need that time to pamper themselves a little after that busy day. As that old saying goes, men may work from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done. That saying certainly stands true; a little time set aside for yourself isn't too much to ask. It doesn't matter if it is late evening, nighttime, or early morning. Take the time and the steps to pamper yourself. Remember that you as a whole are what you are stuck with for life. So treat yourself well and like yourself. Here are some things that can make you feel pampered.

Steps
- Take a foot soak. Use a small pan or tub and fill it with warm water and add baby oil with vitamin E to soak your feet in.
- Scrub your feet. Have on hand your favorite foot scrub and scrub your feet after your warm foot soaking. Sea salt works great, too.
- Delight in bubbles. Consider taking a full bubble bath, and add a face mask.
- Caress your feet with softness. Have some Footsies or socks ready to put on after applying some cream or Vaseline. Cut the toes out of old socks to sleep in to allow the cream to soak in overnight.
- Soothe the hands. Take care of your hands the same as you would your face by applying hand lotion or even your face cream, especially at night.
- Spritz the face. Keep a small spray bottle filled with spring water to mist your face during the day and at night.
- Deep cleanse the face. Using a clay facial mask (such as the avocado, kaolin and rosemary) on your hands works great and leaves hands soft.
- Give all the skin a treat. Don't forget to add lotion to the rest of your body and pay attention to the neck area.
- Add moisture to your hair. Keep a spray bottle filled with tap water to mist your hair. This works great on fine hair that is layered.
- Use scent to lift your mood. Using vanilla or lilac body sprays will add that special touch after a nice shower or bath.
- Treat the legs. Don't forget to put cream on your legs - cocoa butter works great.
- Jazz up the teeth. Get in the habit of taking care of your teeth, and don't forget to floss.
- Eat well. Prepare yourself a generous meal, relax and really taste the food.
- Chill down for the night. Rent yourself a good movie, kick your feet up, and relax. Spend a little time at night to yourself.
Tips
- No matter if you decide to pamper yourself daily or weekly, take the time. Everyone deserves to be pampered sometimes.
- There is nothing vain or wrong about thinking of yourself. Sometimes we tend to put ourselves last - and doing so all the time is not a healthy way of living.
- We were pampered as babies, but now that we are grown we have to do it ourselves.
- If you run out of your favorite facial scrub, a tiny bit of baking soda mixed with a little water works great.
- For exfoliating your skin, there are many great inexpensive soaps out there that have oatmeal and other ingredients in them.
- Drink lots of water.
- Exercise in moderation and eat the same way.
- Use a white nail pencil underneath your nail tips if you're wearing clear nail polish.
- Save up money so you can go shopping and treat yourself to a few gifts.
